Incorporating Genomics Into Nursing - Barriers And Facilitators
The authors explain that while genomics is having a steadily growing impact on clinical practice in some areas of health care, in other areas genomic development are considered to be at the periphery of care. In this study, nurses used case studies to identify both the barriers and facilitators when it came to incorporating genomics into nursing. The greatest barrier was found to be the attitudes of the nurses- who do not see genomics as being relevant to their practice.
